Great Shows We Lost, Mostly Due To Inept/Idiotic Programmers or Horrible, Old-Fart Minded, Braindead Critics
The Event(1) see Below
V(2) - (One of the best new sci-fi genre shows on TV, bad programming and Air date delays killed it)(See below)
No Ordinary Family - The people that condemmed this show as a Heroes clone, didn't have a clue and never watched more than 3 episodes.
Breaking In - Cancelled after 7 episodes. Funny show, just started to get going. Michael Rosenbaum destroyed any chances this show might have had at all.
Lie To Me - Amazing Tim Roth venue...they must be blind to what humans like.
The Chicago Code - Great little show, but in the world of short attention span audiences the cop dramas aren't doing so well...even good ones.
Chaos - Cancelled after 3 episodes, seems sad, had great potential in the right time slot.
Chase - Not the best show on TV, but far from the worst...ahem...The Listener is so bad yet gets the nod. Bad time slot choices here or intentionally condemmed due to differences between the major players.
Caprica - Great show, even had decent ratings, but obviously the people at ScyFy are suffering from the same brainfarts that other major networks have.
(1) Meanwhile, NBC has axed The Event, but that may not be the end of the show. According to Deadline, “Talks are underway with at least one distribution partner to take over the serialised drama. The Event executive producer Steve Stark wouldn’t comment, but I hear new original programming player Netflix’s name tossed around. Word is that there has been interest from several cable and digital entities. Stark said that they are exploring the opportunities with the ‘full support’ of the studio, UMS. ‘NBC has been an amazing partner, it launched the show beautifully,’ he said. Added creator Nick Wauters: ‘We have a dedicated fan base, and we promised them we will deliver one way or another and will continue to tell our stories.’”
(2) V Should be doing the same thing as The Event, it was a top notch show with an amazing following online. After all, these networks have to start looking at the online community as well as the long outdate Nielson ratings type systems.
