I am so please that Mayor Stephanie Miner and her cronies in Syracuse New York, are so forward thinking when it comes to business. After all, they believe you win a no win scenario and when it comes to the Destiny USA project, they are going to try.
Have they even realized yet that sooner or later they will beat this project into the ground (secretly what they are hoping for) and leave the city and surrounding areas with a job vacuum? Why do people support these types of low-browed self serving politicians that haven’t a clue about the real world in which WE live? When Destiny is beaten we will someone that is personally protected bankrupt the project and go home, leaving the people to try and make up the difference. They seem to think this is all about property taxes, when instead, it is about keeping jobs, income and non-welfare families in Central New York. Oh wait, Miner and crew are politicians not businesspeople and they believe that they can't control free thinking, intelligent and solvent people, but they can control a population when the majority is supported by them through welfare and other government assistance. now it makes more sense, they want everyone in Syracuse on welfare and the city bankrupt, this way they can take very little blame for their own extremely poor decisions by blaming the populous and those that support their decisions are the ill-educated masses that they control.
The effects of not continuing the Destiny project, no matter how long it takes, would be catastrophic to the Central New York area. Loss of jobs will be in the thousands, income to the area would plummet and we would become just another 'Flint, Michigan'. It only takes an educated eye to see that the owner of this project really has no real stake in this anymore and that they could go belly-up and personally lose almost nothing, simply retire and leave the area completely devastated by closing their doors. Remember, this means all of their doors and not just Destiny, while keeping their personal lives intact to retire or even start again somewhere else that is less Narrow-minded and bent on destroy about the only real future this area has left, tourism.
Instead of fighting it, they should be helping to work with the project, when all of the dollars coming in from tourist would astronomically outweigh any monies collected from taxes, but I forget that the Miner crew only considers the here and now and have never cared about any long-term or lasting effects, which is completely evident in anything they have attempted so far.
Get you heads out of your Ass and deal with this people, prove to them that you are not the frightened little minds that they have scared and brain-washed you into thinking that you are, SPEAK OUT! Tell your elected officials how you feel any way that you can! If you don't support this type of project, please move away, Syracuse doesn't need or want you here.

Great Shows We Lost, Mostly Due To Inept/Idiotic Programmers or Horrible, Old-Fart Minded, Braindead Critics
The Event(1) see Below
V(2) - (One of the best new sci-fi genre shows on TV, bad programming and Air date delays killed it)(See below)
No Ordinary Family - The people that condemmed this show as a Heroes clone, didn't have a clue and never watched more than 3 episodes.
Breaking In - Cancelled after 7 episodes. Funny show, just started to get going. Michael Rosenbaum destroyed any chances this show might have had at all.
Lie To Me - Amazing Tim Roth venue...they must be blind to what humans like.
The Chicago Code - Great little show, but in the world of short attention span audiences the cop dramas aren't doing so well...even good ones.
Chaos - Cancelled after 3 episodes, seems sad, had great potential in the right time slot.
Chase - Not the best show on TV, but far from the worst...ahem...The Listener is so bad yet gets the nod. Bad time slot choices here or intentionally condemmed due to differences between the major players.
Caprica - Great show, even had decent ratings, but obviously the people at ScyFy are suffering from the same brainfarts that other major networks have.
(1) Meanwhile, NBC has axed The Event, but that may not be the end of the show. According to Deadline, “Talks are underway with at least one distribution partner to take over the serialised drama. The Event executive producer Steve Stark wouldn’t comment, but I hear new original programming player Netflix’s name tossed around. Word is that there has been interest from several cable and digital entities. Stark said that they are exploring the opportunities with the ‘full support’ of the studio, UMS. ‘NBC has been an amazing partner, it launched the show beautifully,’ he said. Added creator Nick Wauters: ‘We have a dedicated fan base, and we promised them we will deliver one way or another and will continue to tell our stories.’”
(2) V Should be doing the same thing as The Event, it was a top notch show with an amazing following online. After all, these networks have to start looking at the online community as well as the long outdate Nielson ratings type systems.
3-D TV Sales Explode!
By Ice on Feb 5, 2011 | In Reel To TV | Send feedback »
A local news station ran an article today on how 3-D TV sales are growing and cited the MPAA as saying there were 150% (approximately) more movies released in 2009 than in 2008. They also were bringing up the issue of whether 3-D TV's were a 'FAD' or not. I think people have to remember 3-D fads in cinema of the 50's & early 60's, then again in the 70's & early 80's. And though these were indeed fads, they did have an impact on cinema and also the change of mood of the theater goers when leaving. Those 'old-school' 3-D movies were indeed primitive in comparison to the 3-D of today, but were they when looking at the end results. And just how healthy is this for our young person’s ophthalmologic health.
Let's take a look; we took a small survey after several movies offered this past year. These surveys were mainly local and of a small group of theater goers personally known to us, however after talking to the people surveyed, we determined that if they did not know the person giving the survey, they would not have been completely honest with their answers.
Among theater goers surveyed;
56% stated they felt no ill- effects of the movie
32% stated that they had severe headaches after the movie, but watched the movie in its entirety.
12% stated they had to leave for a few minutes, during the film, to allow headaches or nausea to subside
I think our most alarming discovery is that of the 200 people we used as our subjects, 88% stated that whether they had headaches or not they will still continue to visit the theaters to watch 3-D movies. The other 12% stated they will return to the theaters to watch future movies in 2-D or wait for DVD/Blu-Ray releases to see the picture.
When trying to get information about the in-home 3-D experience, only 2% of the people we surveyed had 3-D capable entertainment equipment in their homes. However, 40% said they would consider buying this equipment when pricing came down a bit more. But 58% of them stated they would not ever buy these products, because of the experiences they have had at the theaters.
Since finding this information proved to be so difficult we approached a local cinefile group to participate in a poll. Of those polled in the group, only 74 had home theater equipment capable of 3-D, which amounted to approximately 15% of the total group. Only 51 of them agreed to participate and of those over 90% stated they could not watch a 2 hour 3-D movie in its entirety at home, but instead would pause or stop the movie and take breaks after 30-45 minutes to allow a rest for their eyes. However, none of them felt that they should not have purchased the equipment. Most stated they had been looking to upgrade from much older systems anyway and this was a minor increase in cost so they didn't mind spending the extra money for the 3-D capable hardware.
We suspect that having the newest technology also played a role in these purchases since most if these people upgraded from large screens to much smaller ones.
All-in-all we felt the results of our little non-official poll displayed alarming results and that the government may even want to take a closer look into finding a way to research as to whether these TV's/Movies are detrimental to our eyes in any way.
His Honor Governor Andrew Quomo

Today you gave your 'State of the State' address and it was most impressive.
Governor Quomo, please think of this when you try to balance your budget. Nothing is going to happen at any government level, Federal, State or Local, anywhere in the US as long as Unions are active in Education, Healthcare & Government. The only way to get this corrected will be to make people compete for their positions by performing their jobs admirably, unions have removed this obstacle for most of the employees in those fields, by allowing them to be lax in the quality of their performance, knowing that there will be no repercussions about job security. Please, if you want to change things you have to start where the problems really lie, and that is the aforementioned parts of the infrastructure of this great state.
I hope you will at least consider this. Also, I have a question, How did Mr Silver even get into public service to begin with, he serves no real purpose other than being an antagonist to any progress what-so-ever.
Thank you
Physician Intelligence Problems

So in Syracuse there is a Physician, specializing in Podiatry, named Samuel B Rameas that has problems knowing how to bill insurance companies. Now maybe it is his staff that hasn't a clue, but the words out of his mouth were, "I tried billing them, but apparently I billed them incorrectly and they would not cover the entire bill, so instead I am going to bill you for the balance, even though you already your approved co-pay". He also stated, "Because the insurance company co-pay doesn't cover what it needs to, I am also going to bill you $5 more per visit directly, Okay?".
NO QUACK, THIS IS NOT OKAY!!! Get your head out of your a** and deal with the responsibility of your own mistakes!
I could not believe my ears, so I played dumb and stated, "huh?" As he began to repeat himself I reached into my coat pocket and pressed the record button on my PVR and the quotes above are a direct transcript of that recording.
